OK,so now that it think i have more of a grasp on MUGEN,where do i get it from?

That's because it's the 1.1b version, basically the last official version that was made.

I use it and people make things specifically for that version, but it can't run everything since stages/characters/screenpacks may have code that's not compatible. I've only run into a few characters that don't work with it so far. I also don't really know all the differences, 1.1 seems to have support of "HD" Features like screen zoom and so on.

The other versions are WinMugen and Mugen 1.0, there's a lot of things specifically made for WinMugen and the differences between seem to be purely technical.

This is a link to Mugen Free For All's Mugen Software collection, it has all 3 versions plus Fighter Factory 3 (If you want to mess with sprites or change code)

It wouldn't hurt to have 2 or all 3 if you find something you like but can't use.
